In need of improvement:
Riverside Centre, Newport - originally created with disabled people in mind, it has terrible acoustics, often using vaulted ceilings which reflect sound straight back at the visitors.
The Blacksmith's, Carisbrooke - excellent food with choice of portion sizes - but incredibly noisy when busy.
Ventnor Botanic Gardens - food preparation area integral to café, loud music - didn't stay to eat the meal we had paid for. Maybe better in Summer when you can sit out.
Correo Lounge - 99 High Street, Newport, IW - updated from Prezzo Pizza, but acoustics were still awful with the old vaulted ceiling reflecting all the sound back down. Looks appetizing, though. Try the outside patio when available.
Newport and Carisbrooke Heritage Centre - although a newly converted floor at 64 High Street, Newport, with some acknowledgement of acoustic harshness, the six installed panels do very little to take the edge of what is basically acoustically a concrete box. Insufficient damping has been applied to make this area properly accessible to those with compromised hearing.
Marks and Spencers café - excellent coffee but intolerably noisy.
